Full Job Description
We are seeking an inspiring, highly motivated Diversity & Inclusion Manager. You will help define, implement, and grow our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion directive. In this role, you will partner with our human resources, operations, upper management, and development teams to ensure that we have a working DEI program that creates a safe, comfortable, & equitable space for everyone at the studio.
This is a hybrid position, with a minimum of 1-2 days a week onsite at our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities
- Develop, drive and support DEI initiatives, efforts, and goals across the studio.
- Support Double Fine’s Diversity Initiative by:
- Focus on recruiting, and retaining a diverse workforce. Maintain our studio values for Diversity and Inclusion as a core part of all our hiring practices.
- Nurture a culture of understanding, and inclusion
- Identify, and implement learning and/or career progression opportunities that are fair and equitable for everyone in the organization
- Make suggestions on how to continuously improve our company culture
- Analyze and improve the current DEI work, and create new implementations to grow the program.
- Create programs, best practices, outreach activities.
- Participate in studio diversity messaging – develop, organize and amplify core messages that need to be delivered by our leadership team.
- Strengthen & improve our studio’s culture by partnering with various groups within the studio as well as external DEI partners.
- Potential to advise projects on representation, accessibility, cultural localization, and adding empathy to our games.
- Build and manage strong relationships with vendors that help promote and encourage equity within Double Fine.
- Research and partner with vendors that offer inclusive benefits to our employees. For example, mental health benefits, gender specific healthcare, career advancement, etc.
- Be the main project manager for any and all inclusion programs.
- Motivate, collaborate with, and encourage your coworkers towards our diversity goals
- Coordinate with members of Microsoft’s diversity team to ensure Double Fine is up to date with current policies.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in diversity and inclusion management
- Has great soft skills, and knows how to communicate with a variety of people/personalities
- Proficient in Google Office Suites, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Great time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Positive patient attitude, and a strong desire to continuously learn and develop.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of detail-orientation.
- Is able to be assertive in their recommendations for better equity and inclusion
- Able to enthusiastically propose new ideas and policies to studio leadership and the company as a whole
Pluses
- Previous experience in the gaming industry (or at least a love for games) would be a big plus!
- Experience using Miro, and hosting Zoom events

Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000 (based on qualifications)
