Full Job Description
The Director, People & Culture will be a key member of the People & Culture team, joining Extreme Reach during a time of growth, partnering with key leadership to support our global SpotlightXR team.
They will be on the ground in our Burbank office helping to cultivate and grow XR’s culture and team member's belief in XR’s vision for our future. This role will lead comprehensive people planning strategies, partner with Executive stakeholders, and drive organizational effectiveness, in addition to partnering on special projects with the larger People & Culture Team.
A successful person in this role will understand business priorities and translate them into HR strategy. They will help leaders to look around corners by providing data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and overall employee experience. You will need a flexible skill set including the ability to think strategically, execute tactically and collaborate cross functionally.
Responsibilities
- Ability to understand business goals, design and implement new approaches, and influence improvements for leaders and team members
- Influential and credible with Executive Leadership and team members; able to set the tone, agenda and direction
- Solutions focused and comfortable working in a demand driven environment
- Use data and metrics to make decisions and keep leadership informed
- Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
- Provide Process Driven solutions by being highly organized with the ability to visualize the “Big Picture” and build a framework encompassing each step that is clean, simple, effective and efficient
- Provide expertise of process and implementation in the following areas: employee engagement, performance management, data analysis, recognition programs, and strategic development
- Performs other projects or duties as assigned

- The Director, People & Culture will report to our VP, People & Culture
Location
- Hybrid (T-TR) from our Burbank, CA office
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of human resources or equivalent degree required; Master’s degree or Master of Business Administration with HR as a core component preferred.
- 7+ years of HR or relevant HR Business Partner experience
- Related certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred
- Great at influencing through strong relationships, expertise and data. Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders.
- Proactive and hands on experience building and improving frameworks and processes to achieve simplicity, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Great communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization utilizing multiple modes
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand workflows and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
- Preferred experience within the advertising industry; and strong understanding of how advertising agencies operate
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across business functions, and at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple demands.
- High degree of professionalism, with ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate appropriate discretion.
- Ability to work autonomously yet seek counsel and assistance when necessary.
- Proficient in Google Suite, HRIS, ATS, Excel, and payroll systems.
*Pursuant to California's Pay Transparency Law the pay range for this position is $160,000 - $179,000; base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
