The Director of Partner Communications will help drive the next wave of growth in our Commercial and Retail team businesses, and will also concept and execute consumer-focused PR campaigns around key cultural moments. Reporting to the VP of Communications, this role will help amplify Oura’s narrative with strategic and influential outlets and be inspired by the opportunity to contribute to Oura becoming a global brand that’s widely recognized and deeply loved.
The role will be responsible for (1) developing and executing our Commercial and Retail PR strategies and (2) delivering high-impact PR campaigns around cultural moments (e.g., holiday, Father’s Day, major sporting events).
The Oura Commercial team is responsible for growth within Partnerships, Corporate Sales, Healthcare and the Military. The Oura Retail team is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, the profitable achievement of sales goals, and for aligning sales objectives with firm business strategy. You will act as a key partner and team member, collaborating closely with the Commercial and Sales Leadership teams, Commercial and Retail Marketing, and Product Marketing to align PR efforts with business objectives and drive measurable results.
Throughout the year, Oura Marketing runs a number of cross-functional campaigns. You will be the PR lead for most campaigns related to cultural moments. The right candidate will be equally as comfortable mapping out a strategy as diving into the weeds to execute initiatives themselves.
What you will do
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that advance Oura’s corporate narrative with our key audiences.
- Build and establish strong relationships among the Commercial and Retail leadership teams, ensuring alignment on objectives and priorities.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish reporting mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of PR initiatives. Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns, improve ROI, and make data-backed recommendations to the Commercial and Retail teams.
- Partner closely with our product/marketing, data science, customer experience, content, ambassador, and social media teams to ensure we’re delivering consistent messages to our target audiences.
- Liaise with global PR agencies to deliver impactful results, on-time, on-budget, and in support of Oura’s global growth strategy.
- Draft written communications, including strategic plans, pitches, press releases, executive quotes, statements, briefing/messaging documents, FAQs, presentations and more.
- Drive creative concepts in service of earning press coverage around key holidays and health-related topics.
- Aid in supporting relevant key speaking opportunities for executive spokespeople. help manage logistics, and develop prep and event materials.
- The ideal candidate has extensive experience in external communications and will bring with them existing and trusted relationships with reputable outlets.
This is a remote role, but the candidate must be based in the United States.
Requirements
We would love to have you on our team, if you have:
- 8-10+ years of Communications experience including external, internal, and executive communications. Extra points for experience in consumer technology and health technology industries.
- Trusted relationships with key consumer tech, health and lifestyle press, plus analysts and influencers in Oura’s industry.
- Experience driving external public relations agencies to deliver results.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills and are detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and are positive, solution-oriented, and flexible.

Compensation:
- Region 1 $157,000-$185,000
- Region 2 $149,000-$175,500
- Region 3 $141,000-$166,500
