RoseRyan, a leading accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a Director of Tax. As the Director of Tax, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the tax function, including tax compliance, planning, strategy, and reporting. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and providing strategic tax advice to our clients. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute tax strategies that minimize the company's tax liabilities and maximize financial performance
- Manage all tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
- Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance with all tax laws and regulations
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate any potential impacts to the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement tax planning opportunities
- Provide strategic tax advice to senior management to support decision-making and business planning
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors
- Oversee the preparation and submission of tax provision calculations and disclosures
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline tax operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Real Estate industry preferred.
- Big 4 experience
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax, with a focus on tax compliance and planning
- Experience in a leadership or management role
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Experience with tax software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
$80-120/hr DOE
