Full Job Description

RoseRyan, a leading accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a Director of Tax. As the Director of Tax, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the tax function, including tax compliance, planning, strategy, and reporting. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and providing strategic tax advice to our clients. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute tax strategies that minimize the company's tax liabilities and maximize financial performance
  • Manage all tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance with all tax laws and regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate any potential impacts to the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement tax planning opportunities
  • Provide strategic tax advice to senior management to support decision-making and business planning
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax provision calculations and disclosures
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline tax operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Real Estate industry preferred.
  • Big 4 experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax, with a focus on tax compliance and planning
  • Experience in a leadership or management role
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Experience with tax software and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

$80-120/hr DOE
