About Sunnyside Nursing Post-Acute Care
Centrally located in Torrance, California, Sunnyside Nursing and Post-Acute Care provides sub-acute nursing care, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, and long-term care. The primary purpose of this job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
Job Description
- Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs and in-services, and orientation.
- Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the in-service educational programs of the facility.
- Monitor and mentor CNA and RNA staff by providing training, development, skill checks verification, and counseling
- RNA program administration
- Secure, develop and maintain records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, etc., pertinent to in-service educational programs.
- Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, class attendance and subject records, etc.
- Participate in facility committees including Retention & Recruitment, RNA, QAA
Requirements
- Must possess a Clear & Active LVN or RN license in the State of California.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active CA license to practice as an LPN/LVN or RN
- Certification in Staff Development
- Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years of experience in a post-acute/ skilled nursing facility
Shift:
Monday - Friday
One weekend every other day as Manager of the Day (MOD)
