Based

Remote position with occasional travel within NorCal and SoCal.

Overview
The Director of Operations at the Masonic Center for Youth and Families (MCYAF) oversees financial, operational, and administrative functions, ensuring the Centers operate smoothly and deliver high-quality services. As a key member of the Leadership Team, this role is integral to implementing the Executive Director’s vision, managing special projects, and maintaining effective systems. The ideal candidate will have education, experience, or interest in psychology and a commitment to supporting the success of a close-knit team by embracing diverse responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Executive Director to shape organizational vision, strategy, and staffing while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
  • Operations Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and performance. Oversee budgets, revenue, billing, contracts, and reporting.
  • Team Management: Supervise key staff and coordinate with HR, IT, finance, and marketing teams to support organizational needs.
  • Recruitment & Retention: Lead recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and retention efforts.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop and implement policies, manage certifications, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Data & Reporting: Oversee data systems and ensure timely, accurate reporting for stakeholders, including the board and regulatory bodies.
  • Client Services: Ensure timely scheduling of client appointments to meet demand.
  • Continuing Education: Manage the CE program, including the annual training calendar and adherence to protocols.
  • Board Relations: Maintain strong board relationships, prepare reports, and support board retreats.
  • Special Projects: Lead initiatives as assigned by the Executive Director.

Requirements

  • BA/BS with a minimum of one year of administrative experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation with a particular attention to the needs of working with children and families in a therapeutic setting
  • Background in psychological and/or a medical setting preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and collaborative and integrated approach to care
