We’re expanding our team and seeking a highly skilled Director of NPI (New Product Introduction) Supply Chain to lead and optimize our supply chain strategies as we continue to grow our product portfolio. 

What you will do: 

  • As the Director of NPI Supply Chain , you will be responsible for developing and executing the supply chain strategy for our new product introductions. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless integration of new products into the supply chain while maintaining our high standards of quality, cost-efficiency, volume requirements and timely delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and GTM teams & Logistics, to drive the successful launch of our new products.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Product Management, Sourcing and Manufacturing teams to understand product specifications, timelines, and requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of components and materials for new product launches.

Supplier Management:

  • Partner with engineering and sourcing teams for supplier evaluation and selection
  • Conducted supplier evaluations and ensured compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure suppliers are prepared for ramp volumes and quality specifications as we progress through mass production. Employ process controls as required.

Project Management:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing NPI supply chain projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
  • Monitor project progress, address issues, and report on status to senior leadership.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and provide insights to drive continuous improvement. DMAIC, Six Sigma, and lean knowledge is preferred. 
  • Prepare and present reports on NPI supply chain performance, risks, and opportunities.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing NPI supply chain team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and development.

This is a US role with a strong preference for candidates based in the Bay Area with ~25% travel required. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, focusing on new product introductions and project management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain projects and launching new products.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Region 1 $165,000 - $206,000
  • Region 2: $156,750 - $195,700
  • Region 3: $141,075 - $176,130
