Full Job Description
We are looking for an effective Warehouse Lead to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Constantly develop knowledge of the logistics ecosystem
- Serve as a liaison between our logistics partners and carriers
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and 3PL operations
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Work with Operations Manager to optimize budget
- Liaise with drivers, employees, customer service, and transport companies
- Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Solve package and driver issues as they arise
- Drive company transit van to outer markets to deliver cargo to fleet of drivers
- Responsible for reconciling all drivers packages when distributing and collecting them
- Be able to frequently move boxes weighing up to 30-50 pounds
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Leadership skills and ability manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Preferred BS degree
- Valid driver's license
- Experience driving a transit van

Pay: $21.50 per hour
