Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in criminal cases from inception through trial and appeals.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal documents.
  • Analyze evidence and witness statements to develop effective defense strategies.
  • Negotiate plea deals and settlements with prosecuting attorneys.
  • Prepare and present compelling arguments in court to advocate for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and explain legal processes.
  • Stay updated on changes in criminal law and legal best practices.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal law, with a proven track record in defense.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in legal research software and case management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
