Black Love, Inc. is a Black-owned media company dedicated to showcasing diverse representations of love within the Black community. Our endeavors span film/TV, original digital content, audio, live events, and social media. Originating with the groundbreaking BLACK LOVE docu-series, we've evolved to provide a wide spectrum of digital content and live experiences that affirm, educate, and entertain the Black Gen-Z & Millennial audience. We have partnered with brands including: Target, Neutrogena, Amazon Studios, BET Networks, Bravo Networks, JP Morgan Chase, Shea Moisture, Lexus and Frito-Lay.

Job Summary

The Coordinator of Sales & Partnerships role is responsible for supporting the Black Love, Partnerships & Sales team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to all activities associated with the administrative support of the sales team, such as creating sales proposals, one-sheets and recaps, assisting with prospect outreach, and scheduling. The Coordinator will also support brand activations and events (virtual or in-person), which may include coordinating the creation and receipt of partnership deliverables. 

What You’ll Do

  • Support multiple sales team members including the Head of Partnerships & Sales and Senior Director of Partnerships & Sales in their efforts to close partnership deals. This includes helping to schedule internal and external meetings. 
  • Draft visually appealing, cogent and client-facing documents and create sales proposals for members of the Partnership Sales team. Google Docs/Slides preferred.
  • Help build and curate databases for existing and prospective partners, and utilize sales prospecting tools to do this. Experience with Media Radar is a plus. 
  • Prepare detailed partnership recap decks. 
  • Schedule, manage and participate in internal and external meetings, generate agendas, take notes and synthesize information into actionable next steps
  • Organize team brainstorming documents including researching trends, competitors, brands, audience insights, prospect outreach, etc.
  • Maintain files, systems and important communication to internal departments as directed by sales managers.
  • Expected to attend partnership events and activations at the discretion of leadership. This may include running errands to pick up items for clients. Mileage to be reimbursed.
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for partners and internal departments.
  • Help manage internal action items and deliverables. Experience with Hive is a plus. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales; experience as a sales coordinator or in other administrative positions considered a plus.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to send timely email follow ups.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer applications including Google Slides, Google Sheets and Canva.  
  • Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to ensure the Sales & Partnerships team can efficiently accomplish key tasks and initiatives.
  • Expected to participate and assist at partnership activations which may include some evenings and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation and commit to working in the office 3 days a week as determined by leadership. At this time Monday & Thursday are mandatory. The 3rd day is a flex day but may change depending on work needs.
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times and be willing to go above and beyond to achieve successful results.

Black Love, Inc. provides a competitive salary of $65,000. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, and flexible PTO. 

We have embraced a hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of remote work with in-person collaboration. As such, we’re looking for candidates based in Los Angeles and willing and able to commute to the office 2-3x/week.
