Job Description:

We are looking for a cook for a loving family in the Newport area. This candidate must be willing to work 5 days a week Monday- Friday. Have knowledge of various food cuisines and have an understanding of what providing food service is & all it entails.

Qualities:

• Background in Nutrition (not required but preferred)
• Healthy Cooking recipes
• Uniformed *can be provided*
• Be available to work on weekends *if needed*

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a positive and professional approach with the household
• Cook meals for breakfast and lunch (mainly) and dinners
• Tasked with the purchase of supplies and ingredients appropriately
• Complete design, preparation, and execution of all meals
• Create weekly menus
• Be able to accommodate cooking needs and requests
• Maintain a clean kitchen ensuring proper sanitation
• Must dress appropriately (Uniform will be provided)
• Be able to recommend meals
• Traveling might be required
• Have reliable transportation to run appropriate errands related to the job
• Be familiar with farmer's market and how to shop for fresh food

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Have prior experience working in the restaurant industry or for a family
• Knowledge of different cultures and foods as well as their ingredients
• Must have reliable transportation
• Bilingual in Spanish is a must
• Have a passion for cooking
• A great positive attitude!
