What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a passionate and talented Community Manager Intern to support our Social team. The Community Manager intern will engage with the community across various social media platforms to foster a positive and engaging environment.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing various social media platforms and possess strong knowledge and passion for competitive esports.
The ideal candidate must be attending a four-year college/university or a recent graduate and have a passion for esports. The Community Manager Intern will report to the Senior Social Media Manager and work closely with our Marketing, Content, and Partnerships teams.
This hybrid full-time internship opportunity will begin on 6/17/2024 and conclude on 9/6/2024.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage with the community across various social media platforms, forums, and other online channels.
- Monitor and moderate community discussions to ensure they adhere to community guidelines and standards.
- Respond to inquiries, comments, and messages from community members promptly and professionally.
- Cultivate and foster positive relationships with community members, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Assist with executing game coverage on social media to enhance brand awareness and provide fans with potential game results.
- Organize and facilitate community events, such as webinars, AMAs (Ask Me Anything), and contests.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics related to community engagement and sentiment.
- Present findings to key stakeholders for product improvement and development.
- Collaborate with internal product teams to align community efforts with overall business goals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to continuously enhance the community experience.
- Other responsibilities to be assigned.
Requirements
- Attending a 4-year college/university or recent graduate.
- Remote work available.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate community events and game coverage.
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc)
- Familiarity with esports, preferably with VALORANT, Apex Legends, and Fighting Games, entertainment, and pop-culture.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High empathy and ability to self-regulate emotions when under increasing stress.
- Ability to apply intelligence to practical, real-world scenarios, where a “book solution” doesn’t necessarily exist.
- Strong active listening skills with an emphasis on understanding. The artful ability to deliver clear and logical thoughts in response.
- High growth-oriented mindset with a strong internal need for achievement.
- The inclination to question the status quo in pursuit of better information or more innovative solutions.

- The wage for this role incorporates the multiple factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The compensation for this internship is $19.00 per hour.
