Convoy Capital is a commercial loan advisory firm specializing in helping clients and lenders achiever their financing goals. Convoy Capital is looking for an experienced commercial loan officer or loan originator interested in joining a fast-growing company with a vibrant culture. Commercial Loan Officers will utilize Convoy Capital’s preferred lender relationships to assist borrowers primarily in the multifamily, bridge and commercial loan process from the quote stage all the way to funding. This person will be responsible for building rapport, analyzing the borrower’s financial situation, and determining the appropriate products to meet clients’ needs. You will have access to Convoy Capital’s extensive database, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and efficient dialer technology. In addition to communicating daily with borrowers, Commercial Loan Officers must stay abreast of new types of loans, guideline changes and other financial products to meet the customer’s needs and maintain compliance. They must also resolve issues/difficulties across multiple departments while maintaining a high level of service to internal and external customers.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a commercial real estate loan officer or loan originator
- Exceptional decision-making ability, superior written and verbal communication skills, and superb interpersonal and customer service skills required
- Excellent phone skills required
- Strict attention to detail required
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Excellent follow-up and communication skills with borrowers, internal partners and teammates
- Ambitious professional who is motivated by opportunity for advancement
- DRE license required
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with industry related professionals to gather and prepare all necessary information to complete underwriting requirements
- Review the loan process by monitoring loan status, term conformity, and regulatory guidelines
- Interact with customers, realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction
- Maintain and build relationships through networking and prospecting with bankers, realtors, builders, and your community to attract new business
- Counsel borrowers to understand the pros and cons of different loan products to determine which is best for them
- Promptly respond to all communications directly from the borrower or from third parties
- Keep all contacts up to date in real-time in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with specific information including status, transaction type (refinance/purchase), all relevant data entry fields, detailed relationship-building notes on all communications/interactions, updated contact activity, etc
- Educate prospects on Convoy Capital’s business model, the benefits of working with an independent commercial mortgage broker (speed, service, affordability), company’s track record for delivering a high-quality borrower experience
- Commercial Loan Officer will be required to attend all company sales meetings
