Position Summary:

Are you an experienced leader with a vision for operational excellence? We are looking for a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team at Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc.

As the COO, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our operations while maintaining a sharp legal focus. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the delivery of top-notch services, streamlining processes for maximum efficiency, and spearheading strategic growth initiatives.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will collaborate with senior leaders to develop and execute the organization's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with our mission and values. You will provide leadership and guidance to operational departments to optimize performance and achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies and initiatives that support the organization's mission and goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team of department heads, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive high performance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute the organization's strategic plan.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Optimize operational processes and systems to drive efficiency and enhance quality of services.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, funding sources, and community partners.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Contract negotiation and drafting.
  • Legal research and analysis.

 

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • An MBA or 7 years of experience in a senior operational leadership role, preferably in the healthcare or behavioral services sector
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Employment Law or Human Resources Management
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in the healthcare or non-profit sector.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
  • Previous experience in handling legal disputes and litigation matters
  • Proven record of successfully leading and growing organizations and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, laws, and industry trends.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Collaborative and diplomatic approach to building relationships with internal and external clientele.
  • Passion for improving the lives of individuals and families in need.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to adapt swiftly to changes.
  • Strong people skills and an effective team player.

Benefits

Job Type: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k are included in the compensation package.

Salary Range: 175-250K.
