We're seeking an outgoing, self-motivated, independent thinker to join our agile and dedicated team to help drive our business forward. We are a young, family-owned organization based in California that takes pride in our work, our reputation, and our team. We are looking for a person who is excited by growth, strategy, and all the work it takes to build an organization.

As a Business Development Partner, you'll build lasting relationships with clients, make a direct impact on our growth, and be a key player in shaping our company's future. The role will report directly to the CEO.

Please note that this role starts out as an independent contractor (1099) role. There is a path to conversion to a W2 employee (with benefits) should you prove successful in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and document client leads in the CRM
  • Build a pipeline of potential clients to contact
  • Actively participate in client discovery meetings and presentations
  • Follow up with contacted clients and pursue opportunities to their fullest extent
  • Develop customized presentations based on client needs
  • Develop procedures that help improve existing methods and techniques
  • Work with leadership to pitch and convert leads
  • Develop agreements, documents, and communications that assist in securing new clients
  • Participate in team meetings as needed
  • Support Client Success team as needed
  • Provide feedback on client perspectives when solicited
  • Assemble and update company client related process documentation as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be required


Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience developing business strategies, sales and marketing or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of research & development, process control, scale-up, lean six sigma, troubleshooting, Industry 4.0/controls automation, supply chain, quality assurance/control, batching/packaging operations, or plant engineering
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal clients
  • Ability to work in a team environment, prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong computer experience
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be detail oriented and willing to learn new procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of the manufacturing industry is a huge plus
  • Robust working knowledge of Microsoft products is a must
  • Knowledge of ClickUp Project Management Cloud Software is a plus

Benefits

  • Base Salary PLUS Commission
    • Base: $60,000 - $70,000 / yr
    • Commission: 2-6% of total revenue brought in, depending on level of involvement
