Board Members | Youth Advisory

Purpose

At April Parker Foundation, we believe in empowering youth and giving them a voice in decision-making processes. We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to serve as Youth Advisory Board Members for our organization.

General Responsibilities

As a Youth Advisory Board Member, you will have the opportunity to advocate for the needs and interests of young people in our community. You will collaborate with other board members and help shape the direction of our programs and initiatives to ensure they align with the needs and aspirations of youth.

Specific Tasks

1. Actively participate in board meetings and committee meetings as required.

2. Provide input and insights on youth-related issues during board discussions and decision-making processes.

3. Collaborate with other board members to develop and implement youth-centered programs and initiatives.

4. Serve as a representative and advocate for the organization within the youth community.

5. Support fundraising efforts and help raise awareness about the organization's mission and programs.

Requirements

Requirements

• Age between 16 to 24 years old
• Passion for youth empowerment and advocacy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment to attending regular board meetings and fulfilling assigned tasks
• Prior experience in youth leadership roles or community involvement is preferred but not required

Time Commitment

• Attending board meetings and committee meetings on a regular basis
• Dedicating additional time for program development, fundraising, and other board-related activities
