Position Summary

Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc., a leading provider of services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, is dedicated to fostering independence, inclusion, and personal growth for our participants. We are currently seeking a full-time BCaBA to join our team. The BCaBA works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCABA) to support individuals with behavioral challenges. The role is responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior plans based on these assessments, under the supervision of a certified BCABA. The BCaBA is to ensure the effective implementation of all treatments plans and programming for their clints on their caseload as described by the fundamental responsibilities listed below:

Work Locations: Artesia, Beverly Hills, Encino, Downtown & West Los Angeles, Glendale, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Korea Town, Lancaster, Palmdale, Reseda, Santa Clarita, Van Nuys

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Adheres to professional and legal requirements, the principles of behavior analysis and always demonstrates sound professional judgment.
  • Collaborates with families, caregivers and all service providers as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
  • Performs direct and indirect assessments to identify the function of client’s behaviors.
  • Develops a treatment plan (including behavior support plan) based on the functions of the behavior and treatment methodologies that are evidence-based.
  • Attends all relevant meetings for clients, including treatment team meetings, IEP/ISP (as allowed/needed) and staffing. Participates in any insurance authorization review calls for any individual on their caseload.
  • Collects data before and during the implementation of the plan so that the plan’s efficacy can be assessed, and data-based decisions can be made.
  • Provides direct instruction/ongoing supervision, training and support to clients, staff members and family members during regularly scheduled visits.  This includes visiting each client twice a month in all relevant environments.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the implemented treatment plan and modifies the plan as necessary.
  • Upon direction from the director, initiate services with new clients in a timely manner.
  • Manages caseload, prepares and submits all required documentation on time, including but not limited to assessments, treatment plans/BSPs, insurance updates as required, session notes after every session, at least
  • Adequately demonstrates the ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree OR 3 years of experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness, and or forensics history
  • Creative abilities with effective organizational and time management skills
  • Maintain a high degree of organization and meet assigned deadlines
  • Demonstrate flexibility while learning new skills and working with others.
  • Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance and the ability to travel as assigned.
  • Must have experience in ABA or related fields preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass background investigation that includes FBI/DOJ fingerprint check.

Salary

  • Salary: $62,000 - $93,100 per year
