POSITION TITLE: Lecturer Pool - Teaching Credentials: Multiple Subject
POSITION DETAILS:
The Teaching Credentials Branch believes it is critical that educators are prepared within an anti-racist framework and prepared to teach with an understanding of the communities within which they teach. The branch is committed to advancing the campus-wide commitment to antiracism and inclusion. We prepare future elementary, secondary, and special education teachers. As an anchor institution within the diverse Sacramento region, we prepare teachers and leaders to be agents of change, committed to social justice, equity, and inclusion in culturally and linguistically diverse schools and communities.
We seek part-time lecturers to serve as Bilingual Spanish Multiple Subject student teacher supervisors in area K-6 schools. This work involves traveling to local schools to observe candidate instruction and mentor candidates; evaluating candidate progress toward meeting California Teaching Performance Expectations; and attending monthly meetings with other supervisory and instructional faculty.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in education or related field, or Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant professional experience.
Willing to travel to school in and around the Sacramento area.
