Role Summary:

TEAM is looking for a Benefits Specialist to join and support our rapidly growing company. The Benefits Specialist facilitates medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits for worksite and corporate employees. TEAM is an employer of record for over 6k employees across the USA and manages a self insured medical plan and 5 fully insured medical plans. The Benefits Specialist plays an integral part on the team and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The ideal candidate has experience with medical benefits and is organized, detail-oriented and customer service-oriented.

What you will do:

  • Manage medical benefits for TEAM’s corporate and worksite employees.
  • Manage day to day administration of retirement benefits for TEAM’s corporate and worksite employees
  • Deliver benefits presentations and manage open enrollment, ongoing enrollment and termination from benefits plans.
  • Respond to employee and client inquiries regarding medical and retirement benefits.
  • Work with vendors to select medical benefits, deliver quality service and outcomes for our employees and maintain benefits compliance.
  • Assist with compliance and data projects in partnership with the Accounting and Technology departments including ACA, tax filings, internal and external audits, etc.
  • Conduct audits to ensure plans are administered in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Assist with additional Payroll & HR department projects as needed.

This role is based in California. The California salary range for this position is $68,000-$75,000. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to the applicant’s skills, work experience, knowledge, abilities, education, etc.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience with the administration of medical benefits. Experience with retirement benefits preferred.
  • Excellent client service skills and professional demeanor.
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and able to learn and navigate other internal software systems quickly and efficiently.
