Full Job Description
M & J Auto Body Services Inc., our busy, family-owned collision repair facility in Van Nuys, CA is currently looking for a Painter Help/Auto Body Painters Assistant. We are looking to hire a experienced candidate who is an energetic, knowledgeable, self-motivated, and hard-working individual to join our team. Our hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm. Responsibilities:
- Prepare damaged/repaired areas for painting
- Accurately follow work orders while diagnosing and reporting any additional damage found
- Buffing
- Assist other departments when needed
- Maintain a clean workspace
- Adhere to all quality standards
- Polish dirt nibs
- Full panel polishing to match orange peel
- Block sanding
- Masking
- Primer application
Requirements
- Strong communication - Ability to communicate at a high level with our team members
- Organization - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and adaptable to workplace changes
- Education and Experience - Completion of high school or equivalent
- Goal-oriented - Ability to meet and exceed the goals of the role
- Clean driving record
- Collision Industry experience
