Raindrop is a fast-growing, award-winning agency headquartered in San Diego. We create marketing that earns attention, builds brands, drives results, and most importantly, that people love. We are looking for an Associate Video Editor to join our Post Production team. 

As an Associate Video Editor you will have help in creating video content that performs while working alongside a range of creatives!

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Use guiding framework to create compelling video content, collaborating closely with on-set directors, account managers, motion designers, and fellow editors to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Produce initial rough cuts for director review, incorporating feedback and implementing adjustments to refine the narrative and pacing of the video content.
  • Participate in internal revision meetings, engaging with key team members to iterate on the rough cut, ensuring cohesion, continuity, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Interface with the in-house motion design team to seamlessly integrate visual effects, titles, and designed scenes into the video content, enhancing its visual appeal and storytelling impact.
  • Facilitate client feedback sessions, incorporating revisions and adjustments to meet client expectations while maintaining creative integrity and project vision.
  • Manage the workflow efficiently to meet project deadlines and milestones, coordinating tasks effectively with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality video content on time and within budget.
  • Contribute creative ideas and solutions to enhance the overall quality and impact of the video content, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional videography experience 
  • Proficiency in Final Cut Pro X 
  • Experience recording and editing audio
  • Ability to flex hours -- Most editing will be done from 9am-5:30pm but during peak busy periods flexing hours is needed.
