Full Job Description

CG Life is seeking an energetic team member to join its San Diego office as an Associate Media Planner. As an integral part of our fully integrated marketing agency, this role is dedicated to supporting CG Life’s Media Department offerings. This role will be supervised by the Director, Paid Media as well as a Media Supervisor and involves planning, implementing, and reporting client-paid media campaigns.

Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to: 

Business Impact 

  • Assist with the implementation of media plans, including campaign set-up in social platforms as well as Endemic partnerships, along with ad traffic and ad server setup
  • Assist with creating comprehensive performance reports to highlight the success of campaigns

Industry Expertise

  • Stays current with major digital marketing trends
  • Continually builds an understanding and knowledge of the client’s business and competitive environments
  • Conducts market research into client’s target audiences and helps determine appropriate media vehicles
  • Communicates with media vendors for advertising plans to negotiate and request proposals
  • Stays abreast on Social Media platform updates, offerings, and approaches
  • Secure insertion orders for media plans

Leadership

  • Ask relevant questions to collect the necessary information to turn client needs into deliverables
  • Proactively works with internal teams to manage or adjust timelines effectively as needed 
  • Can effectively and quickly assess project work to evaluate and identify factors that need the input or collaboration of senior team members or clients 
  • Able to identify when to reach out for assistance from management on how to prioritize client requests and shifts priorities as needed to meet aggressive deadlines and milestones 

Communication

  • Establishes and maintains positive co-worker and client relationships, fostering trust and collaboration 
  • Regularly report insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leaders
  • Respectfully listens to others; is open to new ideas and approaches
  • Able to communicate and operate with diplomacy and discretion

Reports to: Director, Paid Media

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Be resourceful; know when to ask for help, but also know when to google it
  • Ability to independently handle multiple tasks on deadline in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

What We will be Looking for:

  • A minimum one year previous marketing experience is required
  • Experience in digital marketing and familiarity with media buying tools is a plus
  • Plus, for any Meta ads manager experience
  • Experience with life science, healthcare, biopharma industries, or the like is a plus

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
