Full Job Description
The Associate Financial Analyst supports the financial planning, financial analysis, and management reporting for cost centers within the organization. Responsibilities will include assisting finance leadership with the creation of the annual budget, quarterly operating expense forecasting, month-end variance reporting, and revenue analysis. In addition, the Associate Financial Analyst will be required to perform a wide range of daily ad hoc finance & accounting tasks. A critical requirement to this role is the ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization to ensure timely communication of pertinent information between departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinates and assists with the preparation of the budgeting and financial reporting for multiple departments across various entities within the organization.
• Assists in the creation of the management financial reporting package including P&L, margin analysis, revenue reporting, operating expense analysis, and balance sheet.
• Partners with sales and marketing leadership on monthly sales forecasting — helps consolidate deliverables and reconcile outputs with finance and operations leaders
• Analyzes the general ledger and proposes reclasses as a part of the month end close process
• Maintains key performance indicator reporting used by senior management to drive results.
• Prepares monthly COGS and inventory reporting, including budget vs. actuals
• Analyzes inventory consumption trends and collaborates cross functionally to create investment forecasts
• Supports compliance with SOX controls by preparing schedules and gathering supporting documentation
• Performs ad hoc financial analysis as needed throughout the business

• Foundational understanding of 3 Statement Financial Modeling & corporate finance concepts
• Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical, problem solving and reconciliation skills
• Ability to interact with colleagues and business partners at all levels throughout the organization
• Excellent communication skills; Builds and maintains strong working relationships with peers
• Highly organized with a capacity to manage large amounts of data, multiple priorities, and light deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill large amounts of complex information into a concise message
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel and mastery of other PC applications including Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word required
• Ability to learn & adopt a wide variety of business systems & analytical tools including SAP & Power Bi
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics)
- 0-2 years of experience in financial management, business planning and analysis, and/or public accounting

Salary Range
Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $70,000 to $80,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
