Associate Beauty Editor, Who What Wear

Who What Wear is looking to hire an Associate Beauty Editor to join our award-winning culture in our NY or LA offices. If you’re highly creative, innovative, and have an unmatched passion for all things beauty, shopping, and trends, we want to hear from you.

The Associate Beauty Editor is a master storyteller. You will push the Who What Wear brand into new content territory while continuing to look for ways to optimize growth and innovation within the beauty vertical. You will pitch, write, and build several beauty articles weekly for WhoWhatWear.com spanning in-depth product reviews, sale roundups, SEO content, celebrity interview features, trending beauty stories, and more. You will work with the beauty team on editorial tentpoles, features, and franchises that build on Who What Wear’s brand equity as well as maintain existing franchises. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to generate innovative content ideas that delight readers and drive results for WWW.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

• 3+ years of experience writing beauty-specific content for a digital publication
• Able to envision and execute beautifully-packaged features 
• Strong researching, reporting, and writing skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of the beauty space
• Well-established network of freelance writers, industry experts, and PR contacts
• An innate desire to make decisions informed by data and performance
• General working knowledge of HTML, CMS, and SEO tools—easily able to study and track analytics to improve performance
• Photoshop is also a plus
• Comfortable interviewing celebrities and/or experts for beauty features or interview pieces
• Awareness of emerging trends and buzzy topics within the beauty space—possesses an excitement to create content for Instagram, TikTok, and WWW’s other social platforms as needed

Please note, the salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000

This is a Hybrid role from our LA or NYC Office, working three days from the office, two from home.
