Direct Counsel has partnered with a reputable law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services. We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Trusts & Estates Litigation to join this dynamic team. This position involves working directly with our Partners, who are committed to delivering high-quality legal services. The Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in managing client cases and ensuring successful outcomes, all while embodying the firm’s core values of Integrity, Hard Work, Excellence, and Team.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality legal counsel and advice to clients, prospects, and partners.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare memoranda on various topics within your specialty.
  • Stay updated on legal developments related to Trusts & Estates and other relevant areas of law.
  • Supervise and lead administrative personnel, including Legal Assistants and Paralegals.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication and understanding of client needs.
  • Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively.
  • Draft and review legal documents, ensuring timely preparation and effective management of case materials.
  • Coordinate effectively with opposing counsel and other parties involved in cases.
  • Uphold ethical standards and demonstrate professional integrity in all matters.
  • Participate in cross-departmental initiatives and volunteer efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate and California Bar accreditation required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on Trusts & Estates preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in law, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage and mentor team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
