Position Description
Burke’s seeks an Assistant to the Athletic Director to help support our robust Upper School athletics program by collaborating closely with the Athletic Director. Responsibilities for the school year fall from August to May.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Assisting Athletic Director
- Collaborate with Athletic Director to review league schedules and calendars to create game schedules for each team
- Take over primary responsibilities of the Athletic Director when out for professional development or other reasons
- Coach one team per season (three seasons in a school year); we offer volleyball, basketball, and soccer
- Assist in coordinating needs of teams and team practices:
- Distribution of uniforms
- Set up for practices such as putting up or taking down volleyball nets
- Help supervise morning practices
- Communication:
- Organize communication for parents/guardians of student athletes so they are aware of practice and game schedules as well as carpool needs
- Use the schools LMS system to input information into the calendar
- Support the organization of parent carpools to get players to away games and competitions

- Some college
- Experience in education, preferably at middle-school level
- Experience in coaching a team sport preferred; interest in learning required

Benefits
Compensation
