Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Beverly Hills CA 90211
Reports To: Finance Manager
About the role
The Assistant Accountant role is a perfect opportunity, for a dynamic, people focused individual who has a passion for numbers and is eager to develop a career in finance.
Working as part of our Finance team, based in the Beverly Hills showroom, you’ll report into the Finance Manager and work closely with the wider finance team based in Sydney, Australia.
Your role centres on:
- Full function of accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, payments and allocations
- Bank reconciliation, cost allocations, fixed asset management and balance sheet reconciliations
- Month end tasks, accruals, prepayments and journal postings
- Budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and reporting
- General accounting and ad hoc tasks
You’ll be given ongoing training from an experienced, caring & proactive team who’s focussed on smart working and leveraging technology to make our working lives easier.
You’ll also be working closely with a range of stakeholders across the business and will have the opportunity to get involved in ad hoc projects to build your knowledge and understanding of the broader business.
Skills & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance or equivalent
- Already started or looking to commence CPA qualifications or equivalent (desirable)
- Entry to Intermediate level Finance role, with 12+ months experience in a similar function, carrying out key accounting tasks (desirable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly numerate, high attention to detail, analytical with the ability to think logically
- MS Office experience with a good working knowledge of Excel as a minimum
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Familiarity with Netsuite (desirable)
