Join our team and make an impact at the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), the largest community college district in the nation!
SALARY $119k-$129k
This is an on-site, long term job. You must be in located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled FF&E Project Manager to oversee FF&E selection, procurement, and relocation management for various new and renovated spaces across LACCD campuses. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring functional, well-designed spaces for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of FF&E programming, budgeting, specification, procurement, installation, and close-out.
- Manage move coordination, including bidding, scheduling, oversight, and punch-list activities for full occupancy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including College Project Directors (CPDs), architects, contractors, and Building User Groups (BUGs), to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Create and validate FF&E budgets at key milestones, providing value engineering as needed.
- Ensure all FF&E-related documents, including proposals, purchase orders, and invoices, are accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with IT teams to ensure proper placement and integration of equipment such as computers, printers, and other technology.
- Schedule and oversee FF&E delivery, installation, and move-in logistics.
- Provide project status updates and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Construction/Project Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
(In lieu of a degree: 8–12 years of relevant experience.) - Experience:
6–10 years of project management experience in FF&E, move management, interior design, facilities management, or procurement. - Skills:
- Proficiency in reading architectural and furniture drawings.
- Knowledge of furniture and equipment specifications and procurement processes.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, or Bluebeam.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in educational or public works projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or other design tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CID, CCIDQ, or LEED Certification.
- Memberships in professional organizations such as IIDA, AIA, or IFMA.
