We are a design/build firm; production is collocated with product development that quickly incorporates quality of life and feature changes into our product. We aim to manufacture and source components in the USA whenever possible for the highest quality and lowest lead time allowable, pushing for a local and lean manufacturing process utilizing additive manufacturing technology. And we are growing!

We seek a professional and motivated individual to join us as an Assembly Technician. As part of the production team, your primary responsibility is to assemble robotic products to specification. You will utilize hand tools, power tools, and jigs to complete and test electromechanical assemblies. Additionally, you will inspect equipment and fixtures to identify defects and the need for adjustment or repair. As a successful assembly technician, you will document procedures and provide consistent feedback to the design team to proactively improve the process. This role requires a strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to learn fast and execute quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and test electro-mechanical assemblies, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Closely follow documented assembly and test processes.
  • Inspect systems, equipment, and components to identify defects and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Must be able to follow directions, complete tasks within standard time, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of manufacturing issues. Must possess the ability to communicate defects to engineers and follow-up to ensure resolution.
  • Assist in the development of efficient manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Enhance skills and knowledge by actively participating in mandatory internal training, surveys, or professional development initiatives offered by the company.

Requirements

  • Able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Possess basic computer skills, Microsoft office/Google suite skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use power tools.
  • Excellent hand and eye coordination is needed.
  • Attention to detail with focus on quality.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Good attendance, initiative, responsible follow through and a willingness to help.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator.
  • Computer skills, minimum Microsoft office skill preferred.
  • Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment preferred: automotive, medical devices, aerospace etc.
  • Candidate should be familiar with or have worked in an environment with OSHA, GMP, ISO 9001 regulations

Compensation

Salary: $40-60K
