Applications Engineer

Elevate is currently seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team in our San Diego, CA office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the growth and success of our business by providing exceptional technical support for our products and customers.

As an Applications Engineer, you will leverage your prior knowledge and experience in the ATE industry to tackle complex technical challenges and find innovative solutions. With your strong problem-solving skills, you will troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, ensuring our customers receive top-notch support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support of Elevate IC products for our worldwide customers
• Act as the technical interface between customers and the factory
• Assist customers with device and system level troubleshooting
• Review customer circuit schematics and code blocks

• Interface with internal engineering teams to help bring new products from initial concept through production release by assisting with new product definition, bench validation, and generation of technical documentation
• Perform bench testing and analysis to support customer inquiries and troubleshooting issues. Reproduce customer observations and provide technical guidance on how to use Elevate parts
• Manage external vendors for PCB fab/assembly activity and maintain hardware documentation.
• Generation of technical documentation for Elevate products including datasheets, product guides, application notes and other material to support integration of these devices into customer systems.
• Support failure, quality, and reliability analysis in conjunction with the operations team
• Coordinate with the sales team through the entire sales process
• Assist with product recommendations for new customer designs
• Assist with on-site customer visits to promote Elevate IC products

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of Engineering
• Relevant job experience with a proven track record of success in similar roles
• Proficient in operating electronic bench equipment with hands-on experience in the laboratory, including troubleshooting, probing, and analyzing silicon using a combination of custom-made and standard equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, source measurement units, etc.
• Strong communication skills are crucial for this position, both in spoken and written form
• Solid system and circuit level troubleshooting capability
• Knowledge of transistor level circuits at a basic level
• Should possess strong self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience with some programming language
