The Office of Advancement facilitates generosity that builds the Kingdom and honors those who sow into Bethel. Our current focus is funding the new Collyer Campus to enable Bethel to further its mission of revival.
The Administrative Project Manager for Advancement lends strength to Bethel Church of Redding by supporting broad and various initiatives within the Office of Advancement. Under the direction of the Donor Relations and Operations Manager, the Project Manager coordinates details, delegates responsibility, and ensures the successful execution of data management projects, email and direct mail campaigns, and events. The Project Manager will help the Manager identify workload issues, set appropriate expectations for delivery, and recommend improvements to processes and procedures within the department. Reports to the Donor Relations and Operations Manager.
Salary Range: $18-22 per hour
Hours/week : 40
Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Support departmental programs and projects through overall departmental project management. Programs include but are not limited to the Advancement Department’s representation at Bethel Conferences, Arise & Build specific events, mailing campaigns (i.e. pledge letters, T&O, welcome packet, Christmas cards, annual report, gift officer bio cards, Vision Sunday).
- Prepare program plans that include timelines, team assignments, and event details and communicate those details to the team. Use appropriate project management software as directed by the Donor Relations and Operations Manager.
- Prepare supplies and event documents as needed (i.e. launch plans, booth signup sheet, registration forms, event invite and reminder email templates).
- Liaise with other Bethel Departments to coordinate logistics and follow-through on related tasks.
- Help ensure operational deadlines are met.
- Conduct audits and research pertaining to the use of more efficient processes and systems.
- Oversee the tasks of data entry, list management, and production.
Information Management
- Manage contacts and lists within the email newsletter platform.
- Manage reports and Salesforce data for email campaigns, mailings, events and conferences, etc.
- Pull routine weekly and monthly reports to support team stewardship and information management.
- Help to update and correct database records including management of Salesforce and Arena request logs.
- Responsible for maintaining data migration into Salesforce for Arise & Build donations, new profiles, spouse relationships, recurring giving, and planned giving fields and expectancies.
General:
- Occasionally process donations, handling checks and grant letters.
- Coordinate productions of letters and mailers.
- Prepare media materials for distribution. (i.e. copying, filing, mailing, e-mailing).
- Represent Arise & Build and Bethel as a member of the Advancement Team, staffing events and communicating about the project through in-person, verbal, or written forms of communication.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Donor Relations and Operations Manager or Director.

Requirements
- Believes and adheres to the beliefs and vision of Bethel Church
- 2+ years of professional work experience in a related role
- Local resident (not a remote position)
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively and respectfully communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google suite, and database entry and reporting
- Ability to learn excel formulas and the use of CRM report filters and settings
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident and collaborative team member
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to keep a professional level of confidentiality
Recommended:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Three years' experience in an administrative position.
- Familiarity with Bethel staff and structure.
- Experience in not-for-profit development office.
