Eitr currently has an opening for an Accounting Manager position, requiring the qualifications and responsibilities listed below.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline.
  • 6 years of accounting experience required with a minimum of 3 years of government accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP required.
  • Cost accounting/Government accounting experience a must - experience with govcon general ledger/COA, cost pools, direct and indirect rates, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal contract and grant awards, including BARDA, HHS, NIH SBIR Grants, Cost Reimbursable and Fixed Fee (CPFF) contractual requirements.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Business Systems and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Experience with DCAA compliant accounting and audit preparation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation control and file management.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Effectively manage time to accomplish goals in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online, QB Time, procurement software and ERP.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (VLookUP/Pivot Tables), Word and Adobe PDF required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of FAR, CAS and DCAA compliant accounting and audit preparation.
  • Hands on experience with DCAA audits and annual ICE submissions preparation.
  • CPA preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting functions/processes for the company and be the main point person for day-to-day accounting activities.
  • Oversee AP, purchase orders, vendor invoices, and credit card transactions, etc.
  • Ensure all costs are billed to appropriate projects, direct and indirect G&A pools, etc.
  • Maintain high level of accounting principals for government accounting, GAAP and accrual accounting for compliance.
  • Manage month-end close, right of use, fixed asset & depreciation schedules, and all accrual accounting requirements.
  • Maintain up to date reconciliations for general ledger accounts – bank, credit card, P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with developing new procedures to streamline daily accounting tasks to increase productivity.
  • Ability to analyze and prepare financial statements.
  • Ability to communicate, both written and verbally, in a professional manner with company, vendor, and customer personnel.
  • Oversee Staff Accountant to ensure daily/weekly tasks are completed timely and accurately.
  • Great communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are essential to this role.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Benefits

Eitr reasonably expect the annual base compensation for this role to be between $95,000 and $115,000. Subject to certain terms and conditions, the role will be eligible for a generous PTO policy including vacation, sick, and holiday time, 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage, and up to 6% 401(k) contributions.
