We have a current opening for an Accountant in Sacramento, CA.
Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
- Maintenance of general ledger and reconciliation of accounts
- Performs timely month-end, quarterly and annual close processes
- Performs variance analysis of overhead accounts
- Maintenance of job cost adjustments
- Works with operations to ensure timely reporting on projects
- Maintains business licenses in all city and state agencies
- Prepares Use tax returns for all state and local agencies
- Assists with annual audits (property tax, insurance, etc.)
- Provides timely and consistent communication and insight within the department
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from four-year college or university
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- 2+ years of relevant working experience either in public accounting or in private industry preferably in the construction industry
- Relevant experience includes accounting and analysis, journal entries, and maintenance of the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Power BI
Salary Range
- $70,000/year - $75,000/year
