Accountant/Bookkeeper

We are a 70+ year old manufacturing company and are looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper to join us! We are looking for someone who has the skills we need and experience in accounting in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts payable and account receivable, work with the Orders Desk to follow up on invoices and outstanding invoices.
• General accounting: maintaining and updating the general ledger to ensure accuracy.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements as well as cost-analysis of current tools.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
• Assist in budgeting process, preparing financial data and analysis to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial controls and procedures.
• Assist with Payroll/ADP Run and prepare annual state and local licensing certifications and basic tax filings.

Requirements

​Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Solid knowledge of general accounting skills and strong knowledge of accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, financial statements.
• Work experience and knowledge of SAGE 100 ERP (manufacturing), QuickBooks, ADP Run, Microsoft Excel.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and accurate, trustworthy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication in person, on the phone, and through email.
• Positive and upbeat demeanor.
