Job Description Summary:

An ABA Program Supervisor collaborates within a three-tiered service delivery model by providing clinical and case management support to medical insurance cases, under the clinical direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In addition to tiered supervision insurance cases, the ABA Program Supervisor also carries a caseload that may include school district students and clients enrolled in the Coyne Infant Development Program. In order to achieve best outcomes for children and their families, the ABA Program Supervisor administers behavioral and standardized assessments, implements individualized goals, monitors child progress with skill acquisition and behavior management programs, and coaches caregivers to become successful teaching partners. The ABA Program Supervisor also provides clinical oversight, support, and mentorship to Early Childhood Instructors (ECIs) in the delivery of 1:1 ABA-based intervention. The ABA Program Supervisor reports to and is under the direction of the Regional Director and the Regional Clinical Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Travels to homes (or to community/daycare settings) to provide an appropriate ratio of supervision to children’s programs.
  • Collaborates within a three-tiered service delivery model by providing clinical and case management support to medical insurance cases, under the clinical direction of a BCBA
  • Maintains up-to-date lesson plans, monitors progress by reviewing and analyzing session data as required, makes timely adjustments to programs, supplies necessary instructional materials, and organizes and maintains each child’s skill book.
  • Provides caregiver training and assists parents with the design and implementation of programs in the home setting.
  • Provides ongoing training and support to ECIs in their implementation of children’s treatment plans.
  • May assist in the development of a student’s Individual Education Program (IEP), attend IEP meetings, and participate in other duties as assigned as related to a child’s school program.
  • Conducts standardized assessments and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), and develops individualized goals for treatment plans.
  • Writes reports that summarize children’s progress with their treatment plan goals, proposes new goals as needed, and recommends an appropriate service level intensity for contract reauthorizations.
  • Effectively coaches and supports ECIs during each field overlap. Contributes to the professional development of ECI-level staff by using Behavioral Skills Training to support the acquisition of new skills and engages in meaningful interactions with ECIs to facilitate the performance of prescribed clinical strategies.
  • Provides direct 1:1 instruction to children as assigned based on the needs of the company and the children’s program. This duty can be a regular and necessary part of the ABA Program

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, Education, or a related field is required. Accrual of supervised fieldwork toward BCBA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory-level position with C&A or another ABA
  • Program that serves children with autism or other developmental delays is preferred.
  • Evidence of specific training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is required. Education, training and supervision experience should include specific training and/or coursework in ABA teaching techniques and data collection, as well as basic behavior analytic principles.
  • Meets pre-established criteria that demonstrate the individual has training and expertise in
  • ABA-based teaching techniques and behavior management strategies. The individual must have the full-time equivalent of 1,000 hours (25 hours a week for 40 weeks) or more of hands-on training in providing ABA services directly to children with autism or other developmental delays.
