3D Printing Technician

Job description

Sorting Robotics Inc. is seeking a skilled 3D Printing Technician to support our innovative projects within the robotics sector. As a 3D Printing Technician, you will play a key role in the development of prototypes and components using advanced 3D printing technologies.

Preferred: Must be comfortable with cannabis (preferred you enjoy it and have experienced it) as we manufacture robotic innovations for the legal cannabis market in the US and Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating and maintaining various 3D printers, ensuring optimal performance.
• Preparing 3D models for printing, including slicing and setting print parameters.
• Monitoring print jobs to ensure quality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the printing process.
• Post-processing printed components, including sanding, painting, and assembling as needed.
• Collaborating with engineers and designers to create functional prototypes based on project specifications.
• Maintaining accurate records of materials used and print settings for quality control.
• Staying current with advancements in 3D printing technology and materials.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with 3D printing technologies, including FDM, SLA, or SLS methods.
• Familiarity with CAD software and 3D modeling techniques.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve technical challenges.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality prints.
• Experience with materials used in 3D printing (plastics, resins, metals, etc.) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Work Location: On-site

Work Hours: Full-time with potential for overtime as required
