About the Role:
The Receiving Associate plays a pivotal role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of incoming shipments. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail and strong organizational skills to maintain smooth inventory flow and uphold the quality standards of our products. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess the ability to work collaboratively with the logistics team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receipt of Goods: Accurately receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying that all items meet quality and specifications.
- Data Entry: Enter and update information in inventory management systems to maintain accurate records of received items.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring timely restocking and organization of received materials.
- Packing List Verification: Cross-check packing lists against received goods, addressing discrepancies as necessary.
- Documentation: Generate and maintain records of received shipments, including delivery confirmations and inspection reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff to facilitate a smooth flow of inbound logistics.
Requirements
Additional Skills/Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Previous experience in receiving or warehouse roles preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate recording of received items.
· Proficient with inventory management systems and basic data entry.
· Effective communication skills for interaction with team members and vendors.
· Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift experience is a plus).
· Background check, Drug & Physical Screening required.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
· Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
· Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
· Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
· PPE: Wear the required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
· Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
· Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
· Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
· Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
