Lead Carpenter

Polymath Construction LLC is a leading construction company in South Arkansas specializing in residential and light commercial projects. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. As the Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed accurately, on time, and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working in the construction industry, possesses strong leadership skills, and capable to lead a 2-3 person crew for on-site projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of carpenters and laborers, providing guidance and instruction as needed.
• Plan and schedule construction projects, ensuring all tasks are completed according to deadlines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs, utilizing various carpentry techniques.
• Install windows, doors, and cabinetry, ensuring they are properly aligned and fit securely.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Carpenter, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to effectively lead and organize a team.
• Solid understanding of construction safety guidelines and regulations.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that require heavy lifting and extended periods of standing.
• Provide daily communication and project updates to Project Manager.
• Be punctual.
• Possess a strong work ethic from start to finish of project.
