Drafter - MUST HAVE recent experience w/ Solidworks

FUNCTIONAL ROLE

L&L Metal Fabrication Inc is a thriving and innovative metal fabrication shop known for delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. We take pride in our commitment to excellence and are seeking a talented Draftsman to join our dynamic team. As a Draftsman at L&L, you'll play a pivotal role in our metal fabrication process. We are looking for an experienced individual with proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and CNC operations to contribute to our ongoing success. Your role will encompass an exciting array of projects, from crafting intricate 3D models for high-end architectural endeavors to creating shop drawings for fabrication using our advanced machinery, including waterjet, plasma, and laser cutters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• CAD Design: Utilize SOLIDWORKS to create accurate and detailed 2D and 3D drawings for a variety of metal fabrication projects.
• CNC Programming: Develop CNC programs for our state-of-the-art machinery, ensuring precision and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
• Collaboration: Work closely with our production team to translate design concepts into tangible products while adhering to project timelines.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain a high level of quality control, ensuring that all fabricated parts meet our rigorous standards.
• Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment where adaptability and efficiency are essential.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to optimize our workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience with SOLIDWORKS in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and operation.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Previous experience in a metal fabrication shop is a plus.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Vision standards apply
• Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet
• Lift and carry heavy objects 5-25 pounds frequently, 25-50 pounds often, 50-100 pounds occasionally
• Use arms, hands, and legs fully
• Push, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb
