Join Our Team:

Our Treasury Management team is searching for a Treasury Accountant in our Scottsdale, AZ office. The Treasury Accountant is crucial in ensuring the efficient handling, processing, and management of cash transactions within a financial institution or corporate environment. This position requires a sharp eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and an extensive understanding of banking procedures and regulations.

Your Impact:

Banking Operations

  • Initiate wires for our clients accurately and timely in the appropriate banking systems, update our bank reports, and send confirmations
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing daily banking payment files and ensure accurate counts and totals
  • Perform daily reconciliation of cash balances to identify and resolve discrepancies on time
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as payment processing and finance teams, to ensure accurate reporting of cash transactions
  • Assist with preparing bank balancing reports, including bank interbank transfers performed

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing cash operations and banking activities, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements
  • Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity and escalate potential compliance issues to the appropriate compliance teams
  • Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews to assess the effectiveness of cash handling procedures and controls

Customer Service

  • Provide professional assistance to customers and clients with cash-related inquiries, account issues, and transaction requests
  • Resolve customer complaints or concerns related to cash transactions promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive customer experience

Requirements

  • Previous experience in cash handling, banking operations, or financial services is strongly preferred
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and banking software platforms
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred
