Full Job Description

ABLEMKR is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Tool Room Coordinator to join our team. As a Tool Room Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory, maintenance, and distribution of tools and equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the right tools are available to team members when needed, and that all tools are in good working condition.

About the Role:

  • Create purchase requisitions, source materials, and purchases materials for various projects
  • Communicate with vendors to arrange rentals, and ordering of specialty parts
  • Organize project specific tooling and load for projects
  • Maintain accurate record of Field Service fleet. Coordinate annual DOT inspections
  • Arrange for the repair of equipment Beyond Operation, for example impacts, jacks, rigging etc.
  • Maintain and track tools being signed out to various projects. Coordinate annual calibrations
  • Shipping / Receiving duties within the SAP system.
  • Material handling duties
  • Light facilities maintenance and janitorial activities
  • Use a forklift to load or unload trucks (up to 6000lbs)
  • Use a 65-ton capacity overhead crane and rigging rated to 65 tons
  • Use a 35-40,000 lb. Capacity forklift
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.

Requirements

Other qualifications required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous SAP experience a plus
  • Clean driving record
  • Basic computer skills- Job required training in SAP and other software will be provided.
  • 3 years’ experience in the maintenance industry
  • Forklift, crane, and heavy rigging experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Some knowledge of mining process equipment such as crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, mills, as well as
  • tools required for maintaining this equipment is a plus
  • Computer skills based on training provided. The ability to count and record inventory and shipments received.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Capable of reading Micrometers, Calipers, Machinist Levels, Pi Tapes as well as other precision measuring
  • equipment
  • Professional and positive attitude is a must. Team player a must.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter
  • Ability to use all extremities to efficiently operate manual tools, all lifting equipment, power tools, office and
  • computer equipment.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments which may include exposure to extreme heat, humidity, fumes or
  • airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud noise, and all-weather conditions.
  • Climbing and working on, stairs, ladders, and scaffolding, occasionally working at heights, is required.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus and ability to read engineering drawings, meters, and documentation.
  • Ability to hear audible warning horns.
