Staff Accountant (temp-to-hire)

We are seeking a detail-oriented, entry level accountant with excellent data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to support an accounting system conversion. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in helping our new Controller establish accurate financial records from previous years, including cleaning up unreliable historical data. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain additional accounting experience with potential conversion to FTE as a Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Accurately input historical financial data to ensure year-over-year financial comparisons.
• Maintain data accuracy and integrity, especially in accounts payable records.
• Collaborate closely with the Controller to address any data discrepancies and improve financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 10-key by touch (high speed and accuracy)
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Accounting Degree in process highly preferred
