Position Summary:
As a Senior Financial Data Analyst, you will be a key participant in influencing the financial strategy of Footprint. This position requires an expertise in financial and data analytics to drive informed decision-making. Your ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights will empower senior leadership and guide our strategic initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
DATA VISUALIZATION
· Transform Complex Data: Condense and synthesize vast financial data into clear, actionable insights through dynamic dashboards, enabling management to identify key opportunities for performance improvement.
· Storytelling Through Visuals: Communicate performance measurements effectively using storytelling visualizations that resonate with stakeholders.
· Collaborative Reporting: Partner with business stakeholders to design and maintain reports/dashboards that provide deep insights into past and present business performance.
· Advanced Modeling: Develop complex models and scenarios to forecast performance, uncover potential issues, and identify opportunities for growth.
DATA OPTIMIZATION
· Key Performance Indicators: Proactively identify and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive enhanced business performance and informed decision-making.
· Insightful Analysis: Analyze, interpret, and challenge data inputs to ensure robust evaluations and reasonability assessments.
· Continuous Improvement: Perform in-depth assessments to optimize data usage and drive better business outcomes.
BUSINESS PARTNERING
· Strategic Alliances: Build and nurture strong alliances within the finance organization, ensuring finance is a vital strategic partner in business decision-making.
· Strategic Insight: Provide critical input as a key business partner in the development of strategic business agendas.
· FORECASTING AND REPORTING
· Comprehensive Forecasting: Contribute to the development of both long-term and short-term forecasts, offering valuable insights to guide business planning.
· Opportunity Identification: Analyze financial and non-financial data to identify business issues and opportunities, driving strategic decision-making.
· Rigorous Evaluation: Challenge data inputs and perform reasonability assessments to ensure accurate and actionable insights.
FINANCIAL PLANNING AND BUDGETING
· Operational Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of operational budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial goals.
· Business Plan Presentation: Present comprehensive business plans to management, clearly articulating strategies and potential outcomes.
· Risk Evaluation: Identify and assess risks associated with business performance and strategic initiatives, contributing to informed decision-making.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Excellent PC skills, including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI, Tableau experience preferred
2. Excellent data analytics and problem-solving skills
3. Effective communicator (both written and oral)
4. Independent decision making.
5. Ability to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships.
