Solutions Architect, Azure

The Solutions Architect, Azure is responsible for the design and delivery of complex projects focusing on Microsoft technologies across all industry verticals to meet our client’s technology and business needs. The Solutions Architect, Azure is expected to have experience and strength in the design, implementation, and support of cloud-based solutions for enterprise clients. This includes, but is not limited to hosting whiteboard discussions, developing technical architecture, and preparing client documentation. You must have significant development experience and an understanding of Microsoft's cloud strategy.

Our engineering team consults with our project management team and clients to deploy highly technical solutions to help our clients achieve their business objectives. This person will be a subject matter expert for strategic client opportunities covering one or more technology areas.

Requirements

• Executes on daily tasks across multiple projects
• Creates and presents technical designs and requirements
• Partners and mentors’ other architects and engineers to share your knowledge and experience
• Participate in the design, development, and deployment of Microsoft Azure projects

• Participate in sprint planning, daily scrum, Sprint review and retrospective meetings and deliver solutions as a team
• Participates in peer review and sign off on detailed designs with project / executive sponsorship
• Drives service designs and outcomes that are globally available, secure and reliable to our customers

Job Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline or equivalent experience
• Must have 7+ years senior-level experience with related technologies
• 5 - 7 years of experience in a technical consulting role
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome difficult challenges
• Azure IaaS experience:
  • Azure Site Recovery (ASR)
  • Azure Backup
  • Azure Networking
  • Azure automation, ARM templates, JSON
• Virtualization capabilities:
  • VMware
  • Hyper V
• Physical to Virtual migrations (P2V)
• Core data center skills:
  • Storage
  • Networking
  • Windows Server administration
• Scripting and automation
• Microsoft technical certification in 3-4 competency areas
• Advanced technical skill in 1-2 complimentary areas

Preferred Certification:

• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Job Location:

• Remote if candidate residence is outside reasonable commute to Tempe, AZ.
• Hybrid if candidate is local to the Tempe, AZ area.
