SOF Airborne Staff Test Engineer (Contingent)

• Coordinate and lead airborne test and integration activities related to Special Operations Forces aircraft
• Perform technical planning, subsystem integration, verification and validation, risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for major subsystems or components
• Apply intensive and diverse knowledge to resolve complex design issues that have a significant impact to the program or task area
• Perform analyses for one or more subsystems to include concept, design, fabrication, test, integration, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal

• Other duties as assigned

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

Education/Training: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required

• Master’s Degree preferred    

Experience:

• 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area
• Minimum of 10 years experience in airborne test and system integration across multiple fixed-wing and/or rotary-wing and other airborne platforms
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in field test management, cost estimation, risk factor identification, and mitigation

Preferred experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station Air Agency certification processes.
• Minimum of 5 years experience supporting SOCOM-related programs

Security:

• Must be a US citizen
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain access to SAR programs required

Physical Requirements

• Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
• Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
• Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
• Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
