Are you a skilled and motivated Shopify Developer looking to make a significant impact? Our innovative and fast-growing D2C ecommerce startup is seeking a talented individual to join our passionate team. As the company's sole in-house developer, you will work closely with the founding team to craft a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for our customers.

In this role, your expertise in Shopify's platform, coding, and user experience design will be pivotal to our success. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to a fun and dynamic startup environment, where your efforts will have an immediate and visible impact.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the founders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable e-commerce applications using modern web technologies and frameworks.
• Design, implement, and optimize front-end and backend systems to ensure a seamless and user-friendly shopping experience.
• Customize and extend Shopify functionality to meet specific business needs.
• Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways to enhance the e-commerce platform's functionality.
• Conduct code reviews, identify and resolve bugs, and maintain high-quality code standards.
• Optimize website performance and responsiveness for an improved user experience.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to e-commerce and Shopify.
• Collaborate with the team to continuously improve development processes and workflows.
• Drive projects and tasks to completion by proactively identifying potential roadblocks and collaborating with peers from business and technology partners, adapting to changing conditions as needed.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Full Stack Developer, with at least 4 years of experience in e-commerce development and Shopify including proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.

• Strong understanding of e-commerce principles, UI/UX design principles, and responsive web design.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Extensive experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or similar frameworks.
• Expertise in Shopify development, including custom theme development, app integrations, and API utilization (e.g., REST, GraphQL)
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git and agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Challenger Brand / Start-Up experience highly preferred, demonstrating adaptability, creativity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
