Full Job Description
Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their team. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and/or partnerships. Our clients range from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses, and we strive to deliver the highest level of service and expertise.
In this role, you will work side-by-side with firm leadership to serve clients and help build our business. You will have a direct impact on our success and will act as a mentor and coach to a talented group of staff, helping to develop their technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide various federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients
- Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC740
- Research tax matters, respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities, and make recommendations to clients
- Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complex tax matters in areas such as state and local tax, international tax, and research and development credits and incentives
- Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
- Develop and execute a business development plan, including networking and building strong relationships internally and externally to acquire new clients and projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or EA licensure
- 8+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm
- 5+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- Strong analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills
- Proficiency in US GAAP and tax consulting and compliance
- Demonstrated project management skills, including project planning and time management
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed and travel to client sites
- Authorized to work in the USA
Requirements
