Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records for easy access and retrieval.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and updates on case status.
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing witness lists.
- File documents with courts and agencies, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulations.
- Mentor and supervise junior paralegals, providing guidance and training as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a legal environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work under tight deadlines.
- Certification from a recognized paralegal program or association is preferred.
