Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to manage and own the Scrum process from initiation to delivery, spearheading the adoption of Agile methodologies across PrePass technology teams. This role is responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, enhancing team decision-making processes, and resolving conflicts. You will serve as a liaison between the product owner, development team, and management to ensure targets and timelines are met. Additionally, you will provide coaching to build team maturity in Agile methodology best practices, measure progress to overcome obstacles and drive continuous improvement, and champion Agile to stakeholders. This is a hybrid position based in Phoenix.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all aspects of the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams.
- Guide the teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint.
- Optimize team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.
- Coach individuals and teams (including scrum masters and product owners) to facilitate adoption and improvement in agile methodologies and principles.
- Establish and ensure adoption of standards, ceremonies, and best practices for agile ways of working.
- Identify potential risks to the completion of the Sprints, including resources, costs, and systems. Recommend appropriate solutions.
- Manage change in sprint priorities.
- Help identify and remove impediments to agile teams’ success.
- Monitor and communicate progress of agile team’s key metrics on regular basis.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in the Scrum framework acting as ScrumMaster.
- Scrum Master certification from a recognized institution.
- Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Excellent skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g. partnering, conflict management, mediation, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated agility and ability to navigate complex environment.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Experience with product management tools, such as Azure DevOps, or similar platforms (Jira, etc.), for backlog management and project tracking.
