Renewable Energy Engineer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Renewable Energy Engineer to join our team, focusing on the renewable power industry, particularly projects involving solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in renewable energy projects, coupled with a commitment to delivering responsive, diligent, and collaborative support to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Design and draft single-line and three-line diagrams (AC & DC, LV & MV).
• Conduct short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, and insulation coordination studies.
• Perform load flow studies, including voltage drop, losses, and reactive power needs.
• Execute grounding and ampacity studies.
• Prepare equipment specifications and inspection point plans.
• Ensure firm standards are upheld and maintained across projects.
• Coordinate with civil and structural engineers and other project disciplines.
• Support project construction, including addressing RFIs and reviewing submittals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in renewable energy projects.
• PE (Professional Engineer) certification in Electrical Engineering required.
• Familiarity with NEC 2020 & 2017.
• Strong knowledge in AC and DC electrical systems, preferably with solar project experience.
• Knowledge in substation and overhead line design is a plus.
• Proven project management, reporting, and technical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is advantageous.
• Proficiency in ETAP and AutoCAD is preferred.
